The charging and battery swapping sector is relatively easier to quantify financially, and it is thus easier to reach a consensus in this regard.
"Even though there will be some competition between our two companies, which is an objective reality, healthy competition is not involution. However, I believe there are also very broad areas for cooperation. There's no need to put them in opposition; discussing competition without considering cooperation is not a good business logic," said Li Bin.
Li Bin stated that this collaboration, through deep coordination at the technical, standard, operational, asset, and capital levels, aims to integrate the resources and capabilities that both parties have accumulated over a long period in the charging sector, and to combine their respective strengths to serve users together. "In the past, each company verified its own technology. Now, how to bring these technologies together, reduce duplicate investments and waste, and improve the efficiency of each company is an important issue for Chinese new energy vehicle enterprises."

This collaboration, through deep coordination at the technical, standard, operational, asset, and capital levels, leverages the resources and capabilities that both parties have accumulated over a long period in the charging industry, bringing together their respective strengths to serve users together.
According to IT, earlier today, NIO and Geely Holding Group reached a comprehensive strategic cooperation in the field of charging and battery swapping. Under the agreement, Geely Holding Group will invest 640 million yuan in cash and 100% of its equity in YiYi Internet to acquire a stake in NIO Energy. Upon completion of the transaction, Geely Holding Group will hold 30% of the equity in NIO Energy, and YiYi Internet's battery swapping business for operating vehicles will be integrated into NIO Energy.
In the charging sector, NIO will invest in Haohan Energy, a subsidiary of Geely Holding Group. After the transaction is completed, NIO will hold 10% of the shares in Haohan Energy.
