According to a report from the IT Home on September 23, 2026, at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm announced the launch of the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Elite mobile platform and the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform. Officials stated that this is "the fastest mobile CPU in the world." The Red Magic 12 Pro+ phone will be equipped with Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Elite chip.

Red Magic 12 Pro is known as "the best-feeling Red Magic flagship to date," featuring a design that is "lighter, thinner, narrower, and more rounded."

Preheating images show that the new model is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, with optimizations to both the screen's black borders and rounded edges. The screen's black border has been reduced from 1.25mm in the previous model to 0.96mm in this new version.
