The Crypto Political Action Committee Fairshake announced that it will support 32 candidates for the House of Representatives in the U.S. midterms. These candidates all voted in favor of the CLARITY Market Structure Act in 2025, which is still pending in the Senate at present.
Fairshake is supported by donations from Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Andreessen Horowitz. The committee stated that among the 32 individuals they plan to support before the 2026 U.S. mid-term elections, a total of 6 million dollars will initially be invested to support 6 candidates for the House of Representatives.
Fairshake On Monday, it was announced that 19 current Republican and 13 current Democratic members of Congress will be supported in the 2026 U.S. House of Representatives elections. This PAC plans to spend over $100 million on advertising for candidates in the House of Representatives and Senate in 2026, with at least $30 million of that amount to be used for the Senate election in Ohio, supporting Republicans Jon Husted against Democrats Sherrod Brown.
Fairshake Spokesperson Geoff Vetter stated: " Fairshake has always been, and will always be, an issue-oriented organization. We support candidates from both parties who advocate for American innovation and cryptocurrency."
According to this initiative supported by the crypto industry, PAC, three Republican candidates and three Democratic candidates will each receive $1 million in funding support before the mid-term elections. These political figures include Janelle Bynum, a Democratic representative from Oregon; Derek Tran, a Democratic representative from California; and Steven Horsford, a Democratic representative from Nevada, on the Democratic side, as well as French Hill, a Republican representative from Arkansas; Bill Huizenga, a Republican representative from Michigan; and Bryan Steil, a Republican representative from Wisconsin, on the Republican side.
Fairshake indicates that all 32 candidates who received support voted in favor of the Digital Asset Markets Clarification Act (Digital Asset Market Clarity Act), which was intended to clearly define the responsibilities of U.S. financial institutions in regulating digital assets. However, this legislation failed to pass in a key Senate vote, casting doubt on the prospects of this Republican-led bill ahead of the mid-term elections. Many polls suggest that Democrats are likely to gain control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2027.
Vetter stated in August that Fairshake had "122 million dollars in cash on hand" before the mid-term elections, as part of its plan to "help establish the largest crypto-supporting grassroots group in U.S. history." Consumer rights organization Public Citizen reported that as of June, this PAC had spent 82 million dollars on ads supporting or opposing candidates, which is less than half of the 189 million dollars it estimated from related initiatives and companies in the crypto industry.
