U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday evening that he and his political action committee would pay for a series of controversial television advertisements. These advertisements previously praised him, and they were funded by the U.S. government.

At the time of Trump's announcement, criticism of these advertisements from the outside world continued. The relevant advertisements were broadcast in the weeks leading up to the mid-term elections in November, which will determine whether Trump's Republican Party can continue to control the majority seats in both houses of Congress.

Trump posted on Truth Social saying, 'The radical left is dissatisfied with me taking these ads away. I believe these ads are positive propaganda for our great America, and they are paid for with American money.'

"This is a quite standard practice, but I didn't do it. Although nothing can satisfy them, I have decided to produce these patriotic advertisements, as well as other advertisements, and I will pay for them out of my own pocket. I will also use the money I raised for MAGA and Inc to cover the costs," Trump said.

Critics say that these advertisements are identical to the Republican Party's campaign rhetoric.

One of the advertisements featured a scene of Trump saying, "America will never become a communist country."

New Hampshire Democratic Senator Maggie Hassan ( Maggie Hassan ) wrote in a letter to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles ( Susie Wiles ) on September 24: 'This advertisement does not have a clear official government purpose, and it seems to violate federal regulations that prohibit the use of allocated funds for 'general promotional activities intended to help a particular political party or candidate'.'

In late September, a White House spokesperson issued a statement to CNBC, defending these advertisements as "public service announcements" aimed at reminding "Americans to love their country and understand why it is worth defending, whether at home, on the borders, or overseas."

The spokesperson said, "This advertisement is educational and openly filled with patriotism. We should be proud of our country."
