Los Angeles, October 6, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- CUJO AI Today, Vodafone announced that it has chosen the technology of Quality, of, and Outcome ( QoO ) to deploy in its multiple European markets.
This technology has already been deployed in a live broadband network of Vodafone, and its subsequent promotion is being advanced across Europe.
Measuring the actual customer experience
Quality of Outcome has introduced a new approach to understanding broadband performance. It no longer primarily evaluates networks based on technical indicators such as speed or average latency, but rather measures to what extent network conditions support users' expectations for specific applications, such as fast-responsive games, uninterrupted video calls, and reliable cloud services.
This framework converts measurement results, including latency, packet loss, and throughput, into an intuitive score that is categorized by application. In this way, operators can understand whether the network provides the necessary conditions for applications to run smoothly and identify areas where performance can be improved.
CUJO AI CEO Remko Vos stated: "The quality of a network should ultimately be measured by what customers are able to successfully accomplish through that connection." CUJO AI helped develop Quality of Outcome, which connects network engineering with the experiences that users truly care about. Vodafone The deployment in multiple markets marks an important step forward towards large-scale operationalization of result-oriented network measurement.
From Collaborative Innovation to Industry Standards
Quality of Outcome was created through collaboration between experts from CUJO AI and a broader network community, and is advanced by the Internet Engineering Task Force ( IETF ) IP Performance Measurement working group.
Quality of Outcome A new industry standard has been established to evaluate network performance based on the results experienced by users and applications.
Vodafone has always been an important supporter and promoter of Quality, of, and Outcome. It provided an operator's perspective for their development and became the first major operator to deploy this technology on a large scale in existing broadband networks.
Vodafone, Director of Home Technology and Products, stated: "To provide an excellent broadband experience, we need to go beyond just the surface speed and understand how the network performs in the applications that customers use on a daily basis. Quality of Outcome offers us a practical, application-centric approach to evaluate and improve this experience. In collaboration with CUJO AI, we are bringing this capability to the live networks within our European business coverage."
Vodafone has also tested QoO with low-latency DOCSIS technology to assess how network improvements can translate into better performance for applications such as gaming, video conferencing, and cloud services.
