Peter Schiff, who has long criticized Bitcoin, recently wrote that after Strategy has continuously bought Bitcoin for six years, their holdings are now close to the cost price. This has led them to question Michael Saylor's previous expectations regarding returns and has reignited the debate between Bitcoin and gold.

Peter Schiff, who has long criticized Bitcoin while supporting gold, has recently sparked discussions in the crypto community. He “congratulated” Bitcoin supporters in a sarcastic manner, as Bitcoin’s largest buyer, Strategy, has been steadily buying Bitcoin for six consecutive years.

Schiff stated in a post earlier today that he made the above comments after observing Bitcoin's recent performance.

Schiff mocks Saylor's return to cost level

Schiff has always been known for its continuous criticism of Bitcoin and its main holders, especially Michael Saylor. Recently, after a significant drop in Bitcoin prices, he once again mocked Strategy, stating that the company's six years of Bitcoin accumulation has not yielded the returns that Saylor had previously promised.

He also emphasized the profit margin of Strategy, noting that this major buyer's current holdings are almost back near the average purchase price, which is around $75,500 per Bitcoin.

Therefore, this Bitcoin critic questions the performance of Saylor's long-term investment strategy and its future potential, especially given that he previously expected an annual return of around 30%.

Schiff Revisiting the Debate Between Bitcoin and Gold

After presenting the above views, Schiff brought up his long-standing debate regarding Bitcoin and gold again, arguing that Saylor made the wrong choice of asset for investment.

He said that if investments in gold had been made during the same period, the funds of Saylor could have doubled, which has also sparked a new round of discussion within the crypto community.

Schiff's stance is not surprising, as he has publicly questioned the potential of Bitcoin as a long-term investment on multiple occasions. This staunch critic of Bitcoin also often believes that precious metals, especially gold, are a more reliable means of value storage than Bitcoin, and has consistently described Bitcoin as a Ponzi scheme.

US Stock Market Meltdown | Over $4 Trillion Evaporated in One Week, When Will the Panic in Data Centers End?
Wall Street once again experienced a turbulent week, with the total market value of the three major U.S. stock indices evaporating by approximately $4.1 trillion. The market is concerned that after the mid-term elections in the United States, if Democrats control both the Senate and the House of Representatives, they may tighten AI industry regulation and slow down the approval process for data center construction. At the same time, the stronger-than-expected October non-farm payroll data has raised expectations for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates in December.
