Introducing Chainlink CustodySync, a new solution that lets qualified custodians give their institutional clients access to DeFi lending markets, all while assets remain securely in custody.
With @Anchorage as the official launch partner, together we’re establishing a new standard for institutional DeFi.
CustodySync keeps custody and lending systems in sync across the full lifecycle of a loan:
→ For custodians: faster time to market and lower operational overhead, with custodian-managed controls
→ For lending markets: independent, verifiable data and a consistent risk framework
→ For institutions: passive capital becomes productive capital
More than $80 billion sits in DeFi lending markets. Meanwhile, the roughly $700 billion in digital assets under custody is less than 0.5% of all $250 trillion in traditional assets under custody. The opportunity to connect traditional institutional capital to onchain finance remains vast.
Large institutions have lacked a secure way of accessing these markets. Regulations require many of them to keep their digital assets with a qualified custodian, a firm that meets specific requirements for holding assets on behalf of clients, and custody systems were never built for DeFi. Even when custody and lending systems are connected, inconsistent loan valuations can trigger premature liquidation or delayed liquidations, exposing borrowers and lenders to significant financial risk.
@Anchorage, home to the first federally chartered digital asset bank in the U.S., is the first qualified custodian to adopt CustodySync, connecting its institutional clients to DeFi lending markets while their assets remain in regulated custody.
Institutional capital no longer has to choose between the security of custody and the liquidity of DeFi.
With Chainlink, it gets both.

Last night, Trump was poised to strike Iran's energy infrastructure, but Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) may have stopped him with a single suggestive threat.
Geopolitical analyst Brandon Weichert, who has sources in Saudi Arabia, has heard alarming news:
MBS reportedly hinted to Trump that if a U.S. strike triggered Iranian retaliation against Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia would sell U.S. Treasury bonds to pay for repairs.
This warning, at a time when bond markets are already under immense pressure, has sounded alarm bells in Washington.
Saudi Arabia also reportedly threatened to deny the U.S. access to its military bases if Trump insisted on launching the attack. It was the same restrictions that led to the flawed "Operation Freedom" earlier this year.
But Weichert did not declare the war over. He believes Trump has fallen into the sunk cost fallacy and cannot accept the fact that the world order is no longer dominated by the United States.
His advice was: maintain the American fortress, strengthen defenses in the Western Hemisphere, prioritize trade over military expansion, emulate the George Washington model, and recognize that excessive imperialist expansion ultimately leads to the collapse of any empire.
“We may survive in a multipolar era, but if we continue like this, we will collapse not only as an empire, but also as a nation.”
It’s great to have you here again, @WeTheBrandon

This war has given China the green light, and subsequent developments may dwarf the conflict with Iran…
Former U.S. Army officer and national security expert David Pine believes the current pause is not the “end,” but rather the prelude to a more dangerous situation:
Trump canceled strikes against Iran twice within a week, each time after ordering full-scale war preparations.
Israel is reportedly furious. Pine believes Trump is wavering between conservatism and realism, unable to find a clear path.
Before February 28, Iran had ordered its proxies not to attack U.S. forces, and their actions were restrained. Now, whenever Trump extends an olive branch, they launch ballistic missiles at U.S. forces stationed in Jordan, provoking war.
As for China, the U.S. missile stockpile is already below 50% of pre-war levels, and China possesses ten times the naval superiority of the U.S. in the Taiwan Strait, with a far greater missile advantage. Pine predicts China will take action against Taiwan before October next year.
"This war basically gave China the green light to take major actions..."
Thank you for your insightful observation, @AmericaFirstCon

Breaking news: Japan and China are rapidly reducing their holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds.
Over the past three months, Japan has sold $96 billion in U.S. Treasury bonds, bringing its holdings down to $1.14 trillion, the lowest level since April 2025.
China is also continuing to reduce its portfolio in order to advance its long-term strategy of reducing U.S. debt.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump may be making the biggest strategic miscalculation of this war.
Geopolitical analyst Brandon Wechett believes the White House thinks an overwhelming show of force will force Iran back to the negotiating table.
He believes the opposite is true.
According to reports mentioned in the interview, Washington is considering a large-scale military operation targeting not only military facilities but also potentially Iran's energy infrastructure.
Brandon believes the logic is simple:
Deliver a sufficiently heavy blow to Iran to demonstrate overwhelming American power, then negotiate from a position of strength.
But he believes Tehran doesn't see it that way.
His argument is that Washington views Iran as a traditional state that primarily responds to military pressure.
He says Iran defines its legitimacy through resistance. The heavier the blow to Iran, the harder it will be for Tehran to compromise politically.
This is why Brandon believes a large-scale U.S. military operation is not the final stage, but merely the beginning of the next.
The US may be able to destroy everything it can find, but it can never be certain it has found everything.
Meanwhile, Iran only needs to maintain sufficient strength to continue inflicting damage on the US.
Brandon believes that, in the long run, this asymmetric situation is more advantageous to Tehran.
If Iran refuses to compromise, what initially appears to be an escalating conflict could very well escalate into a protracted war that neither side can end.
