According to on-chain data, Venus Protocol appears to have been attacked by a flash loan. The attacker's address (0x1a35...6231) has acquired 20 BTC, 1.5 million CAKE, and 200 BNB, totaling over $3.7 million. This address used a large amount of THE as collateral to borrow CAKE, BTCB, and BNB on Venus, and tens of millions of THE are currently being liquidated. Venus Protocol stated that, as part of its response to the THE pool incident investigation, it has lowered the Collateral Factor (CF) to 0 for six markets: BCH, LTC, UNI, AAVE, FIL, and TWT, effective immediately and to remain in effect until at least the investigation concludes. This measure targets markets where a single user holds a high proportion of collateral, and these markets simultaneously meet the following conditions: market capitalization below $2 billion, 24-hour trading volume below $100 million, DEX TVL below $40 million, and single-user collateral concentration exceeding 60%. Other markets are currently unaffected and continue to operate normally. A full report will be released after the investigation is completed.

On-chain data suggests that Venus Protocol may have been the victim of a flash loan attack. The attacker, address 0x1a35…6231, used a large amount of THE as collateral to borrow CAKE, BTCB, and BNB on Venus, ultimately obtaining approximately 20 BTC, 1.5 million CAKE, and 200 BNB, totaling over $3.7 million.
