An initial investor/institution in Lido transferred 4.3 million LDO tokens ($1.61 million) to Kraken one hour ago, after holding them for five and a half years.
They received an allocation of 5 million LDO tokens in December 2020. At its peak in 2021, these LDO tokens were worth $30 million; now they are only worth $1.88 million.
Of course, compared to their cost basis of $0.0085, even at the current price, they still have a profit of over 40 times.

KR1plc, a London Stock Exchange-listed digital asset technology company and an investor in Lido, transferred 3.7 million LDO tokens ($990,000) to Kraken an hour ago.
Even listed companies can't hold on and are selling at such a low price?
However, considering their holdings, it's understandable. In today's terms, they're mostly "old hands": they hold ETH, DOT, NXM, RED, LDO, ATOM, TIA, etc., all of which have basically halved in value this year.

The total value locked (TVL) in DeFi fell 10.5% in 30 days, from $80.9 billion to $72.4 billion, a loss of approximately $8.5 billion.
However, this wasn't a complete sell-off, but rather a rotation of funds. Here's where the funds actually went 🧵👇
First, let's look at the companies that suffered the most losses—because that's the focus of the news.
Ethereum (ETH) - $4.99 billion, Lido (LDO) - $3.88 billion, SSV Network (SSV) - $3.41 billion, Eigen Cloud (EIGEN) - $2.05 billion.
#Staking and #Restaking The giants almost wiped out the entire market's losses. That $8 billion just vanished.
